Drafting and Editing

I have been told over and over about drafting. There is nothing as boring as drafting. It is like doodling, only that there are specifics.
Not everyone can draft. Most of my reputed works did not start as a draft. I just wrote what I thought and voila!
My drafted pieces lack zest. They are structured and lack authenticity.
Who said you have to draft something in order to get a nice piece?
I think drafting wastes my precious time. Once I have a thought, I cannot draft it. How? I’ll simply type it and move on.
Drafting is the recipe for forgetting important information. But, maybe it works for you. Who knows!
Drafting is just overrated!
Who said you have to draft something in order to get a nice piece?
Although drafting lays a strong foundation for those who are into drafts. Let me not totally discredit it.
Editing is boring. Everything that you can think of that is not classified as a virtue pretty much defines editing.
I rarely edit anything. For some, it is a job while for others, it is a requirement. The latter defines me.
Well, I really don’t have to do it but I will pay for it, if I don’t do it. So, I have to do it. I wish I never had to do it.
You know, I admire the patience of book editors. Hundreds of pages and they all have to be edited. Wow!
I guess if you love something, it becomes a part of you and you don’t notice the work involved.
If you do, then you don’t love that whatever. Walk away now when you can.
I notice the work in edition because I do not have a driving force for editing.
I am not going to culture one now. I truly don’t see how it affects my enthusiasm for well written pieces.
Well written pieces need editing for the reader but there is something that keeps you glued.
Editing is important. No one wants to read a piece with hundreds of flaws especially those with OCD.
I think if someone has talent in an area, the best thing would be to urge him or her on. Unfortunately, editing does the opposite to writing! It is like a sore you can’t ignore but you wish it was never there in the first place.
Since, no good thing comes without a price, the price of writing is editing!
I have not encountered someone who writes and loves to edit. And, editors can’t write like an author would. It is always a choice between one and the other.
Most editors are paid to correct grammar, review posts, blah … blah … by writers.
Editing is like finishing a house. So much work goes into building and construction but the eyes only see a finished house as beautiful. Hehehe …
By the way, an unfinished building is an eyesore.
Anyway, most other aspects of life are like that. I’m not saying it is right. I am saying that do not expect fairness in life. Just because the builders really worked on a building does not mean they should compete with the finishers!  It doesn’t work that way.  If you doubt me, ask writers and editors!
That is why you will never compare successfully. Let your passion guide you. (I wonder why most school teachers never bothered to say this in black and white. Beating about the bush is not good for students!)
I can’t help laughing …
Try finishing anything that wasn’t started…
Also, learn to finish anything you start. Otherwise, why start anything in the first place? Even God finishes what He starts. It is called order. If you doubt my words, name only one thing that is unfinished by God. I will believe you.

So next time you reference an editor, don’t ask unnecessary questions like who’s the author?
Does it matter to you?
And, what are you going to do with that information?
